Stephen's Logbook #1 Entry #20
These stories about Stephen began was when he was 10 years old, and
moving to a new part of the country to attend a special school for
gifted students. This was from a time before computers would fit on a
desk, and when people communicated with friends in other countries by
actual letters sent through the postal service. He wrote 225 of them to
a friend. Please refer to them for insight into this new series of
stories. He stopped writing to his penpal, but found he still wanted to
record his life, in case he loses his memory again. So, we can now look
into selected entries in his logbook to see how he is doing.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
The stories may not be posted in chronological order.
Stephen is 17 in this story, during Spring break of year 7 of special
school.
Stephen's Logbook #1 Entry #20 "Gift of Glightus"
NEW ENTRY
I'm 17 now. I don't feel 17, but then I never did feel any particular
age. We had the same ball room birthday party. I didn't want to, but
it's important for public relations. A lot of the guests we have at
them don't get together any other way. Anyway, it's a good excuse to
have the usual orgy, afterward. The enterprise and its businesses are
doing well. Matt and Murphy have their sections up and running, and
have their subordinates working out of offices all over the world. Our
students are progressing well, and without any significant problems. We
expect to own the school in a few months. Construction has started on
our private island off British Honduras. We expect that to take a
little over a year. I still write books, and the publishers insist on
printing and selling them to a whole lot of people. I expect to have my
doctorate in computer science soon. I might go for a masters in
anthropology next, which should please Race.
It was much harder to make the translation crystals then we expected.
We couldn't make it universal, but had to set up each language
separately, which took a lot of time and effort. We are still adding
languages to the list. One of them is the Van's language. Another one,
which could be more important, is the common language of the Galactic
Council, which we got from my fancy intelligent bed through my stone. I
have learned both of them, or rather practiced what I already had in my
mind, with Pete's help. Our Men in Black know the languages, but
haven't had a chance to try them on any aliens yet. I look forward to
when that happens, with some concern. None of us can predict what will
happen then. Mac and Bone don't go out on most of the investigations.
There are too many of them. They just go when something interesting is
found, which keeps them busy enough. When they find real live aliens,
they will contact all the adepts and me, to watch and advise.
I spend a lot of time with Debbie. She plans to go to medical school.
I'm very happy for her. She knows that very well, because I screwed her
almost to complete exhaustion after she told me. When she recovered she
said she plans to tell me that again, and often. We laughed, because we
don't need excuses to do that. Wanda and Chad want to move out of their
parents' houses and live with each other, but Wanda's parents won't let
her. I'm sure they will get married when they are 18. Chad's parents
let him do whatever he wants to. I think they are afraid of him. Nigel
has a girlfriend now, who is one year younger than he is. He and Susan
spend some time together, but not too much, because he's very busy with
work, and she is still in adept, security, and academic training. Nigel
still sleeps with me most of the time. He hasn't said if he screws her.
I don't ask. Race has a girlfriend he met at the pool. I joked with him
about that, saying he owes me for that advice. He hasn't told her about
being an adapt. He's afraid to, personally, and for security reasons.
If they stay together, he will have to, eventually.
I did something which made Tomba cry. I took one of the bigger
psychically active stones like mine I had found, and put it in a fancy
gold pendant setting. Then I ported to my apartment in the Temple
without telling him, not that he would miss the sudden appearance of my
bright aura, and took it to have a conference with it and the
intelligent bed. That stone was pleased to talk with me and his people.
I told them what I had in mind, and they liked it. I left the stone
there for a week, and went back to finalize my plan. I asked Tomba for
a conference in my apartment, and said it could take a while. It was
after lunch, and he said I could have him for the rest of the day. We
went nudist, and sat and talked for a while, hugging. Then I got up and
said, "I have something for you. Wait here, and I'll go get it." I went
into the insulated room, and brought out the stone pendant on a heavy
gold chain and presented it to him. His eye went really wide, and he
He dripped a lot of tears and pulled the chain over his head, and
gently positioned the pendant on his chest. I held out my arms, and he
hugged me. That's when something strange happened. Only an inch apart,
our stones woke up and glowed brightly, mine even through my skin and
bone, and talked to each other. We didn't know that they said, but we
could feel their love flowing through us.
I pulled the still crying Tomba into the insulated bedroom, and
lifted him up and put him on the special bed, holding his hand. His
eyes closed, and lots of funny expressions chased each other across his
face, for 12 minutes. Then he opened his eyes, and pulled me onto the
bed with him. We hugged and kissed, and grabbed each other's monsters
and nuts. He made the link, which we felt the stones join, and we
gently, with increasing intensity, we did what we usually do to enjoy
each other, before finally making us squirt with surprisingly intense
ecstasy. I think some of that was from the stones. We thanked them, and
they thanked us. Then it was time for Tomba to name his stone. He
called it "Glightus", short for "Guardian of the Light and Us." I said
"I like it. I'm sure he does, too. My stone's name came from the statue
he was stuck on, before my long dead incarnation got him. Stole him,
actually. Pried him out of the Cyclops like eye socket. Want to know
where I found your stone?" He said like he was playing along, "Yes
Stephen. Where did you find my stone?" I said "In Tunis. A belly dancer
had it right THERE!" And I poked him in the belly button and tickled
him. We laughed together.
We got off the bed and went back to the living room. I said "He is
yours. Partners, rather. He won't accept anybody else. If somebody
touches him with evil intent, even if you're not wearing him, that
person could be hurt or killed. A good intentioned person who touches
it while you're wearing it, might feel something strange, and you might
feel uncomfortable. Except with another of the light who wears a stone
like it. Then it's like they exchange love, which we just found out.
Only people who have fully opened third eyes can be accepted by one of
these stones, unless they had bonded in a previous incarnation." He
said "Why?" I knew what he meant, and said, "I don't really know,
except I knew it was something I should do. Maybe my stone told me to
do it, but we don't really communicate except when on the bed. I don't
have any urges to do this for anybody else. I suggest you don't tell
anybody outside your Temple monks that you have it and where it came
from. I'm sure Shan will know. Knows, actually. He wouldn't miss the
psychic light show. In fact, I'd love to see his reaction when we go
see him when you are ready." Tomba said "I just want to stay here with
you for a while longer." I said "That's definitely not something I
would complain about." We hugged as closely as two people can, with
oceans of love flowing all around us.
We dressed and went to Shan's meeting room. We knew he would notice
us there, and come see us when he could get free. It didn't work out
that way. He was already there and waiting for us, with four other
senior monks. They looked very solemn, but were very excited inside. I
think Tomba was too distracted to have noticed their auras there,
because he was surprised. Shan said "Greetings Master Stephen. Please
stay for this little ceremony." We bowed. Then they bowed very low to
Tomba, who still didn't know what was going on. I suspected, and was
extremely happy for him. Shan told Tomba, "Please remove your robes."
Tomba did, and one of the other monks handed new robes to Shan, who
said to Tomba, "These are your new robes. Please put them on." They
were robes of a senior monk, but with something extra, like Shan and
the other four monks wore. Like in a daze, Tomba put them on. Shan said
to him, "Senior Monk Tomba, you will join your four brothers as a
candidate for future Abbot, after this meeting." I couldn't help
grinning my face almost in half, and dripping rivers of tears in
happiness.
The four other monks bowed low to us, and left the room. Shan
motioned us to sit. I helped the still dazed Tomba to do that. I said
to Shan, "I think he's still in shock. First the stone, which I'm sure
you knew about while I was giving it to him, and now this. I'm VERY
happy for him." Shan grinned with me and said, "I'm sure. Happiness is
good." We waited for it all to sink into Tomba. Then he cried and
hugged me. After he recovered, he said "I don't know what to say." I
said with a grin, "Well, that was something you said." He poked me, and
grinned. He was alright. I said to them, "I expected this, but not so
soon. Did the stone giving trigger it?" Shan said "Partially. It was
planned, and this seemed a good time for it." I said "It certainly
wasn't a bad time, considering he did survive the shock." Shan grinned
and nodded. I said "So young. Would the others resent him?" Shan said
"Not in the least. They knew he was worthy, as did all the senior
monks, and they welcome him to their ranks. We all love him, so there
won't be any problems." I nodded, and said, "I don't know anybody who's
met him who doesn't love and respect him." Tomba said "It's all your
fault! If you hadn't rescued me, and healed me with your love, none of
this would ever have happened." I said "Fault?" He said "Oh. Sorry, I
meant credit. Or something like that." I said "Yes, it's true. But,
it's Shan's fault, for teaching me and giving me my stone. Go ahead,
blame him, too." He said "Oh, but I do."
I said "OR, you could blame yourself. It's to YOUR credit that you
took advantage of all that was offered to you, and BUILT your new life
with your hard work, kindness, and dedication. You have earned every
bit of this, and whatever good which can come of it in the future, and
don't you ever forget it. Remember what happens to people who doubt
me." He grinned and said, "Rod will beat me up." I said "Do I have your
permission to tell the team about your promotion? In fact, can we do it
at a meeting, with you?" I could see he was a little reluctant to
receive that kind of attention and acclaim. I said "Can you deny them
that pleasure and joy?" He said "You're right. Let's do it." I said "I
feel the same about the attention I receive, which you know, but we
need to accept it, for the people who love us." I said with a grin, "It
never occurred to you that it would happen to you some day." He said,
"It didn't. I still find it hard to believe." I said "I knew, after
your first month was up and you decided to stay. So did Chad." He
looked surprised. Humility can cause that. I said "Please contact Pete,
and have him contact me." He did, and I said to Pete, +Tomba has been
promoted up a lot of levels, to Abbot candidate. I would like to share
that with the Team in a meeting. Will you arrange it?+ He said +You bet
I will!+ I said +We'll likely need to do a lot of cleaning up, after.+
He laughed and disconnected.
We did have that meeting, after school hours, which was more of a
celebration. Present were Tomba, Lance, Chad, Rod, Pete, Jan, Bone,
Mac, Race, Nigel, and me. We did a lot of hugging, and then the usual
intense and delayed sex play, with five sessions, until we were too
tired to do it any more. It was a VERY good party, overflowing with
love and happiness.
