The Adventures of Stevie #156
These stories were told to me by friends and other people. Some of them
are true. Some of them are only partly true. Some of them should have
been true. LOL
My first post about Stevie ("Call me Stephen!") was when he was 12 and
in summer camp and was told by another camper. This was from a time
before computers would fit on a desk and when people communicated with
friends in other countries by actual letters sent through the postal
service. When children did this those friends were called "penpals".
Carlos is Stevie's penpal in Argentina and knows English. This is a
fictional contrivance to enable Stevie to tell us his stories because
he isn't here in person. I think.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
Stevie's school is for gifted children who don't fit in regular schools.
The stories may not be posted in chronological order.
Stevie is 14 in this story, in year 4 of his special school, after the
school Spring break.
The Adventures of Stevie #156 "David's Mother"
Dear Carlos,
I'm back to my usual self. That means I'm doing my usual school and
work schedule. It's the other people who aren't the same. I get a lot
more respect around the Bureau. I guess saving the Huston people helped
a little with that. Some in the Agency respect me more now, too, when I
go over there to interview new people. Smith must have talked some. My
school team feels the same about me, but the rest of the school,
students and staff, respect me more. Pete must have talked. I didn't
think that was bad, even though I don't like being looked at
differently by my friends, because we keep our secrets from outsiders,
and if I need to command them in another emergency, they won't have a
problem with it like they might have before.
David asked to see me at my office. I agreed, but I was a little
nervous he might want to know some things I didn't want to tell him. He
came for his appointment, and I took him into my office, instead of
having Alice send him in, and sat with him on the couch. I said "It's
good to see you. How are you doing?" He said "It's good to see you too.
I'm doing well. So is my mother. In fact, she's feeling better than she
has in years. That's what I wanted to ask you about. Nobody else would
talk to me about it, except to see you." He smiled and said, "Seems you
run a tight ship." I smiled back and said, "I really don't. It's just
they know I'm the boss when the action starts. The problem is, we
aren't always sure when that stops. And there is security. Some things
about me and my classmates have to be kept secret, and I know most
about that."
I said "There is another reason for this, because there is personal
confidentiality involved with psychology, which is my department.
That's what I do here. We have tangled issues here. Some things it's
better your mother doesn't know, about what happened, and what happened
to her. The other issue is, do you have a right to know her personal
information? But, you were involved as a victim, and as a member of our
team. There is a personal issue with me, too. I don't know how you feel
about me and what I did, and how that would effect the things you might
want to know, which I might tell you. What are your opinions about what
I've said, so far?" He said "I think I see what you mean. I guess I
should start with how I feel about you. It's complicated, but I think I
should ask why you did to him what you did. It looks like deliberate
torture. That doesn't fit with what I know about you."
I said "I'm sorry to have to say this, but that's exactly what it
was. Let me explain. I have never killed anybody. I don't know if I
can, or if I ever do, I can live after that. I could have killed him
very easily. Instantly, and he couldn't have stopped me. That was the
last thing I wanted to do, and he knew it. I am of the Light. There are
limits on what I can do to people, without harming myself. One of my
goals was to prevent him from killing himself. Why, is where it can get
extra weird for some people. He believed in reincarnation, and
remembered some of his past lives. I knew that before I faced him. He
recognized me from fights with me in my past lives, which I don't
remember, and didn't believe in. Notice I said 'Didn't'? What he said
to me made me believe. I was prepared for that. So, my goal was to keep
him alive as long as possible, to prevent him from being reincarnated
sooner than absolutely necessary, and at the same time, not able to
hurt more people. While he was doing his best to kill me, and the
people he was stealing energy from to fight me, I was trying to
distract and annoy him to the point where he would be so mentally and
emotionally weakened and vulnerable, I could get close enough to him to
disable his psychic abilities for good, without killing him. You might
think cutting off his manhood unnecessary, but it was absolutely
necessary. That is closest to where the base chakra is, which powers
the drive for sex and power. I REALLY needed to reduce his power,
before he succeeded in killing me, which came very close to happening.
I would rather not go into more detail than that, if possible. Those
are NOT happy memories. Does that satisfy you?" He nodded and said
"Yes."
He said "I didn't think I would say this, but I'm glad you did what
you did. LIke your Rod told me, I shouldn't have doubted you." I said
"Oh, Rod. Sorry about that. Good thing he knew you were my friend." He
said "Good fighter?" I said "You tell me, how hard we train. I
repeatedly kicked him hard in the unprotected balls, at his pleading
request, over an entire week, so he could learn to block pain, and he
thanked me a lot the whole time, and loves me even more." He said
"Wow!" I grinned and said, "We hear that a lot." He grinned back.
David said "About my mother?" I said "I will tell it like it would be
on a normal police report, which you would be authorized to read,
because you were the police liaison. Originally, marriage to your
mother was just his entry into the US, and citizenship. Brace yourself.
Then he used her for other things. Her will and desires weren't
consulted or respected. Are you alright? Can I help?" He was stiff with
anger. I have him a shot of my love and care, and he relaxed a little.
I said "She doesn't remember most of the bad stuff. I think you
shouldn't have to either. Do you need to know specifics? I don't
recommend it." He said "No, you're right." I said "I say this off the
record, and being unprofessional, but a caring friend, you can trust in
her love for you. Fully. Forever." He hugged me and said "Thank you."
I said "I have to tell you something. Even though I'm something more,
emotionally I'm still a lot like a kid. I love to be hugged by my
friends. So, thank you. Now for something completely different. Fate.
Or Karma. Or just cause and sometimes effect. What you have been
through has developed some of your psychic potential. Normally that
happens gradually, over time, sometimes after a lot of special study
and meditation. In your case, with what I did to you before, and what
your father did to you, and what your understanding and acceptance of
the possibilities of it did to you, you have some things happening to
you which should be taken care of, or you could suffer from some loss
of health, and mental confusion for a while. I am qualified to help
you. Will you trust me, and let me do that?" He said "Shouldn't I see
Tomba?" I grinned. He said "I should have known. You're his teacher." I
said "And his rescuer, and his first psychological and psychical
therapist. He has learned a whole lot since then. I'm really proud of
him." He said "Is there anything you don't do?" I said "Yes, there is.
I don't masturbate. That's what friends are for. My girlfriend doesn't
live near here. Did I shock you? If I did, it's your own fault. Hey,
I'm a kid. It's not often I get to act like one, even with my friends."
He grinned back, and said "It sure is never dull around you. Yes, I'm
your friend, and grateful of that, and very proud you have accepted me.
The quality of your other friends has put me in great company."
I said "Ready?" He nodded. I motioned for him to lie down. Then I did
the usual things. His third eye opened halfway. I took inventory. I
said to him after he was sitting up with me, "You have had hunches all
your life. They will get better, with more detail. Trust them when you
can. But wait a week before that, to allow your energy centers, called
chakras, to settle down and get used to their new alignment. I think
you will develop other talents in time. You have to discover them
yourself, but I, or Tomba, or the Abbot at the Temple, can help you
with them, then. If you want." He said "One more question. Mother said
she was transported instantly to the safe room, and then to the Temple.
How was that done?" I said "Will giving it a name make you understand
it any better? Tomba is the only one who has been able to learn how to
do it, besides me, but he doesn't understand the science of how it
works. Nobody else I know of does, and I probably won't publish it. Too
dangerous." He said "Oh. I get it. Thanks." We hugged and he left, I
think much happier than when he arrived. I was glad.
I contacted Rod, and said, +I just met with David Chang. If I didn't
love you so much, I would ask you if you really had to threaten
everybody who doubts me. It's so bad, even Tomba said he would get you
to beat me up if I doubted my own self.+ He laughed, and I laughed with
him. He said +I love you too.+ We disconnected. It's really great to
love, and have people who love you. The best thing in the world.
Your friend,
Stephen
