Doc, I agree with you. The Fort is a place where people (kids included!)
can come and play, or talk, or get advice (ie Spencer, MTB, JAM, and
others).
But being Unenet, some for their own reasons, post things that are
disruptive to the spirit of the Fort in attacks on current members.
We can't stop them from doing so. But we can refuse to acknowledge their
posts by responding, and post the Fort FAQ often so that newbies can see
the Fort's spirit.
Oden has been here for quite a while, and for whatever his reasons are,
I'm sure he will be here in one form or another in the future. We can't
stop him, but we can ignore him. And advise others to do the same.
The proverb of it only takes one rotten apple to spoil the barrell
applies to Usenet too, if we let it. We can't control what others do, but
can control our own actions.
