Rusty,
Brilliant! Never even thought to check the exif info. Now, assuming
that the date and time were properly set in the camera, that means
they were taken barely more than two years ago. Going with yet another
assumption that he is close to 13 years old now, he was probably 10 or
11 when those were taken. Just a theory, of course, but it is
supported by his various anatomical features.
