The Adventures of Stevie #79
These stories were told to me by friends and other people. Some of them
are true. Some of them are only partly true. Some of them should have
been true. LOL
My first post about Stevie ("Call me Stephen!") was when he was 12 and
in summer camp and was told by another camper. This was from a time
before computers would fit on a desk and when people communicated with
friends in other countries by actual letters sent through the postal
service. When children did this those friends were called "penpals".
Carlos is Stevie's penpal in Argentina and knows English. This is a
fictional contrivance to enable Stevie to tell us his stories because
he isn't here in person. I think.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
Stevie's school is for gifted children who don't fit in regular schools.
The stories may not be posted in chronological order.
Stevie is 12 in this story, in year 3 of his special school.
The Adventures of Stevie #79 "UnPriestly, Part 1"
Dear Carlos,
We got up early, but didn't do much boy stuff. Just some kissing and
ball playing to say "hello I love you" to each other. We got dressed in
nice clothes. Davie's fit me pretty well. Some of them were handed down
from Rod. I told him I liked to wear things which had hugged them
before. It was like they were hugging me all the time. I think Rod
almost cried at that. I didn't wear any underwear. Davie's briefs would
have been stretched all out of shape, if they could fit me at all, and
I wanted to see who looked hungry at my more visible monster. Rod
noticed and approved, but said I would be very popular with a lot of
people. Davie didn't know what he meant. I thought it was funny.
We all went to the Church. It was a gigantic Cathedral, maybe the
biggest in the city. And old. And decorated with all kinds of bad art.
There were lots of people going in through the very big carved doors.
Maybe hundreds. The Chief of Police came in with us, with his wife. I
almost didn't recognize him with regular clothes on. I waved to him. He
smiled and waved back. Rod and the rest wanted to know who it was. I
told them. Davie said "Wow, you know him? How?" I said "Well, it's a
big story, and tough to tell, but I helped him out, and saved his job,
after I almost killed him." Davie said "You did? Tell me!" I said
"Can't right now. Maybe later." I signaled Rod to take Davie on ahead,
then I told his parents, "I can't lie to him, never to a brother. I
hope you understand." They said they did, but wanted to hear about it
too. I said "Can't right now. Maybe later," and gave them a big smile,
which they gave right back to me. Then we caught up with the boys.
Davie and his parents sat down and kept space for Rod and me for when
we came back. He told them he was going to show me around. There were
ushers directing people to the seats, and some Priests wandering
around, answering questions. 2 of them couldn't keep their eyes off my
monster. One of them was even trying to hide a boner. I told all that
to Ron in a way nobody else could hear. I could feel him getting angry.
I told him just being horny isn't enough to condemn anybody, or both of
us would be hanged long before this. He laughed a little at that. That
was good. I didn't want people to see him angry. He took me to the back
and into some dressing rooms, and introduced me to some of the Altar
Boys there. I watched them and their auras carefully. They were talking
about different Priests. Some of the boys' auras changed to show fear
and shame when two names were mentioned. I told Rod I wanted to see two
of the boys privately. They were the ones with the strongest reactions.
They knew Rod, and went with us when he asked, to a different empty
room.
They sat down. I stayed standing. I wanted to have as much authority
showing to them as I could. I said to them, "PLease tell me the names
of the Priests who have been doing bad things to you. I know they have,
and I'm going to stop them. They will never hurt you, or any other boy
here ever again. It will be a secret between us. Nobody else will know
you told us. I already know who they are, but I need to be sure." Then
I hugged them each, and gave them a big shot of love. They cried, and
hugged me back. They pleaded with me to keep it a secret. I said "I
promise, with my life. You did nothing wrong to make it happen. No part
of any of it is your fault. God still loves you. It's those Priests who
are to blame for everything they did, to make God ashamed of THEM."
They told me in whispers. I nodded to Rod. He helped me clean their
faces, and we led them back to the others, while I was telling them
they didn't have to be afraid anymore.
We went out to see the service was already started. I caught the
Chief's eye, and motioned an order to come to me. He has good vision.
He could see by my face it would be bad if he didn't do what I said. He
had seen me like this before. He came. We went into the room where I
had questioned the boys. I sat him down and stood in front of him and
said, "There is a serious problem here. I am going to take care of it.
Nobody is going to stop me. You know that. I'm going to tell you what
it is, and ask your opinion about how to handle it. You will know why
I'm doing it this way. First you should know I tell the truth. There is
something else about that. I know when people are lying, and much more.
I have observed and questioned some people here. I know this to be
true. This might come as a shock to you, but some of the Priests are
molesting some of the Altar Boys. THEY ARE HURTING THEM! The Priest in
charge, a Cardinal or something, knows, and doesn't do anything about
it. I will. What I do depends on how you want to handle it. If I like
what you suggest, I might do it that way. Well?"
The Chief slumped his shoulders and said "It's not so much of a
shock. We have suspected it for some time, but none of the boys who
might be involved will admit it's happening." I said "They do and will,
to ME. That's why I know, even though I felt some of the Priests'
sexual interest in me, before then. I'm going to do something to stop
them. That could mean anything up to and including their deaths. I will
NOT allow them to keep doing this. Do you have any suggestions?" He
said "There isn't much I can do within the law, but I suppose that
isn't going to stop you. I would like to avoid a scandal if I could. It
would harm my Church, and hurt the boys more." I said "I agree. One of
my families goes to this Church." I could feel Rod look at me with more
love.
I said "Here is what I propose. We will corner the Priest in charge
here. I will tell him what I want done, and convince him why he should
agree. I can convince the boys to go public and testify. I can provide
other evidence. He doesn't have to know I won't, but it will implicate
him in a conspiracy. He will do almost anything to avoid that for
himself and the Church. I will make him give the children compensation.
A scholarship, maybe, to ALL the Altar Boys who aren't already through
college. There is more, but you understand. What do you think?" He said
"It looks like it might work. I don't want to be involved with this,
but I see why you need me. If I don't cooperate, you will find somebody
higher up, and that could make my position worse. Once again, you have
boxed me in, but I can't fault you for doing what you think is best for
the children. I will help you do it the way you outlined. You can count
on my full cooperation. By the way, who is your companion?" I said "His
name is Rod. He is a classmate of mine. He has similar skills." They
stood and shook hands. The Chief told Rod "You have quite a friend
there." Rod said "You're not kidding! I love him like I do my own
brother, and he is my leader in situations like this." The Chief looked
at both of us and said, "I can well believe it."
The chief spoke to one of the Priests, and we all went back to our
seats for the rest of the service. I didn't take Communion. It was
interesting, the little I paid attention to what they said at the
alter. I was watching the boys and the Priests, analyzing their
behavior from their body and face movements and auras. When the service
was over, a priest came for us. We explained to Rod's parents that
somebody wanted to meet me, and I wanted Rod with me. They let him come
with us. Before we got to the door of the man in charge, I signaled to
Rod to ask for privacy for us. He told the Priest "May we have a
moment, please?" The Priest walked away a little, and waited. I
whispered to the Chief and Rod "I may have to do some special tricks to
impress him. Please remember I am still who I am, no matter what might
happen. Rod, brother, please don't let what I might have to do, change
the way you feel about me. I can't bear that." He said "Freak?" I said
"Yes." He said "Wow. Don't worry." I said "Chief, please tell the
Priest, if a dog comes in and wants to join us, to let him." He looked
at me more strangely than usual, but did what I asked. We went in.
I will tell you the rest later.
Your friend,
Stephen
