Hey Chad, VV, IFB, Fulla, Eh What, Lizard King and all,
HERE is the reason that I believe that boys like Graeme and Taylor,
the Ohio lad who is a cheerleader, and of course the sad exploitation
behind the suicide in Boston, will end up helping the cause of
boylovers in the long run. The key point is that BOYS are beginning to
speak out against sexual prejudice. The more boys who speak out, the
less bigotry toward sexual orientation will be tolerated in society.
Whoin their right mind will stand by and see boys like Graeme be
mistreated? His teacher is a hero and Graeme is a hero too.
Granted, tolerance of pedophiles will be the last bastion of socially
acceptable hatred to fall. But to a core of us here, there is a
difference between a pedophile and a boylover. There are a growing
number of boys who have benefitted from a loving, supportive and
nonsexual relationship with a boylover. Some of them are my boys, but
there are others who are loved by dozens of my BL frineds here in The
Fort. These boys will find their voice too. Boys like Graeme and
Taylor are the leading edge, but our loved boys will follow suit. One
of my boys has already struck a blow for gay youth (literally) and he
has advocated for me when relatives questioned the nature of our
relationship when he was younger. The point is the more boys there are
who have the courage to speak out, the more there will be who will
FIND the courage to speak out.
The tide has already begun to turn. In a stunning reversal of fortune
in Italy, the first Italian Bishop to be prosecuted for having sex
with boys, (and who is an admitted child molestor) is receiving
unprecedented support from the Catholic populace there. Who would have
thought that would ever be possible? Italy gave us the beginning of
Enlightenment with the Renaissance, perhaps they are starting a new
Renaissance of sexual sanity?
If you have a boy in your life, give him every reason to be thankful
for having a loving man in his life. He will grow up to be a man who
believes in boylovers. Who knows? He may find his voice before then as
Graeme and Taylor have. All they need is a reason to speak out and an
example to follow.
