Actually, 14 is not the reported average for boys in any reputable
survey that I have ever read, and it is not average based on my own
informal surveys of adolescents regarding this topic. For example,
according to the Alan Guttmacher Institute (2002), the average age for
first time intercourse is 16.9 years for males and 17.4 years for
females.
