I beg to disagree. You have done nothing *but* that. You *have* been sending
yEnc encoded articles, saving downloaders (and yourself) 30% of the up and
down volume in the process. Which has saved me, with what I have downloaded,
about 450MiB. Quite substantial, for someone with a metered download volume.
You just made the subject line non-standard by deleting the word 'yEnc' from
it, that is all. Your decision, of course. Your mentioning of the article
size (risky choice, btw - but let's not go into that again; TH1 already
explained all that in great detail) is helping dialup users avoid having a
nasty surprise when downloading: their newsreaders are telling them your
articles are about 255KiB in size: since they can't find the word 'yEnc' in
the subject line, they assume it's a UUE article and report accordingly).
Ritchie is right. I don't care either way, really. I like most of what you
post. Just wanted to set the record straight, no pun intended :-)
