It must be 10 years since I read Dolphins of Pern and while I thought it was a
good story, I didn't think it was a great one. I thought it was too much of a
re-tread of Menolly's story, but of course that's just my opinion and on the
whole I've not been over impressed by any of the Pern books that came out after
All the Weyrs of Pern.
I'm currently re-reading the 'original' Pern books, I started with Dragonflight
and have progressed to All the Weyrs of Pern, but I'll probably stop at that
point.
