I just entered my review at SFBC and thought I would reprint it here
for the few of us that still check this newsgroup... :)
"Picking up the story of Kindan from Dragon's Blood and Dragon Kin,
this book is easily the best yet with Todd's name attached. The story
moves fast and keeps you hooked throughout. I reached the point wher
I couldn't put it down and finished it in a couple days. I hope this
is a sign of good things to come!"
Now just for those of you that read here I add ---
Yes, it's another plague on Pern story. I think this particular
antagonist (plague) has been done to death. (no pun intended)
The details are different enough that I never really got the feeling I
had read this before. It really is the best Pern novel with Todd's
name on it so far. So if you've been hesitant to buy it because of
earlier disappointment with Todd's novels, I do urge you to give this
one a try.
