Star Trek was alway clear SF to me.  The fantasy elements have more to
do with limits of FX in TOS and wondering of the writers later on.  But
there was nothing that did not have its basis in starfleet (or romulan)

I agree altho I would say Fantasy pretending to be SF

Here I strongly disagree.  The spirits, rebirth, the magic in the
rings, creatures from outside the earth as we know it.  the Ainur are
not aliens, they are angel analogs
