The OP is referring to those times, like with Moreta and Holth, when they go
*between* permanently. There might be some sort of "law" involved that would
prevent a redirection once *between*, so even though they aren't emerging,
they can't change where they were going while there. There's also the
possibility in some situations where sheer panic might account for not
redirecting, but that wouldn't be the case every time. Also, we honestly
don't know if Moreta and Holth truly stayed *between*, or if they emerged
inside solid rock somewhere.
