Ok, this is OT but I figure a lot of people here will have read the
talent series which I really like but there is one part of book 4 Ive
never fully got.
I just dont get everyones reaction to the new Gil and Kat. Damia
asked why Rojer wasnt told about the possibility of them being reborn
because he had mourned them, needlessly seemed to be her view. To me,
it wasnt needlessly, the Gil and Kat who grew up with Rojer and
sacrificed themselves are gone. Why shoudlnt he mourn them, even if
he knew they would be replaced?
Her reaction made me think it must be a Spock rebirth like in Star
Trek, but that doesnt seem to be the case. This is a new Gil and Kat
who although they may be identical, dont have the experiences of the
originals, and so IMO, they WERE lost.
Anyone any thoughts on this or am I alone in this?
