At the risk of setting the stage for a lot of bad jokes, did Anne ever
make any kind of note about what sort of 'rules' the Pernese in
F'lar's time (or that general period) have regarding public decorum,
modesty, etc?
What set me to wondering about this was that people seem to take full
clothing for granted most of the time, yet Jaxon and Menolly swam nude
without either thinking it unusual in their trip to search for D'ram.
The climate in the Northern Continent ranges from 'too cold to think'
to 'hot and humid/hot and dry', but there's never any mention of
different clothing for different areas, say Igen as opposed to Nabol.
In fact, about the only time specialized clothing of any type is ever
mentioned is in the case of the Dragonriders, who fly high and go
_between_ routinely, so they have hot furs. (Come to think of it,
there are occasional mentions of Riders sweating if they have no time
to change when they visit a hot climate.)
Just a bit of trivia to ponder.
