The poor guy was truly fucked over, provided his account of his

religious beliefs help him make it from day to day, who are we to tell

What I would be inclined to tell him, though, is not to go back to his
home state and try to sue. They'll smack him back into one bin or
another before he can say "Jesus loves me," The most likely bin will
be jail for violating his sex offender status by skipping town, even
though he probably WAS put on unsuitable meds. Meds are cheaper than
psychotherapy, and so are widely overprescribed.
The saddest thing I see in Michael's story is that he's bought into his
foster parents' perspective on sexuality. They are more responsible
for his "perversion" than he is, in my opinion, because of the
genuinely psychotic ways they reacted to perfectly normal childish
behavior, and because they clearly gave him no love whatsoever. If a
just God truly ruled the universe, such people would burn in hell. (If
you find a 5-year-old dancing around naked, by the way, the appropriate
response is to laugh and tell him to put his pants on because he's
being silly.)
Would Michael have been better off with a BL than with those sick SOBs
who raised him? Who knows? In any event, if he's found a way to keep
his hands out of babies' diapers, I'd say he's doing better than he
was.
