Busy fixing computers.
When you're fixing a computer, adding stuff to it, rebuilding, or
re-installing major software like Windows (a necessity when doing
major overhauls and/or replacing motherboards) it get a bit difficult
to keep up with the newsgroups or even email.

But I try.
I've been getting on and checking things every couple of days.

Just did THREE major overhauls of various computers.
Will be starting on a fourth in a few days.  (I think.)

Every time you do a major overhaul, it's not just re-installing
Windows itself; but getting all of the minor *little* shit back to
working properly.

Also, when doing major upgrades, I usually like to add all the little
tweaks and additions that I've found that makes life easier on a
computer since the last rebuild.  Sometimes that takes a few days of
trying things and tiddling around before I remember, "Oh yeah!  I need
to install THIS software as well," or something I thought worked,
didn't, and I need to re-install that too.

It often takes as much as a week before things are stable again; but
when doing several computers at once, like I have been, doing it on
one reminds you that you should do it on the others as well.

Then, on some things, I have to have the kid over to test out the game
software (which I never run) to make sure THAT all works properly at
the best possible level for the machine being rebuilt.

It's all just time-consuming.
