I tried the diet version (yes! they have a diet version) and it was okay.  I
only drink Diet Dr Pepper, or Diet Dr. K (Kroger brand which is damn good),
just to let you know I don't drink sodas with sugar.

It had a twang that I didn't really like, but I liked it better than any of
the Diet Coke + lime, lemon, or vanilla.  I liked it better than Diet Coke
too.  I definitely would not switch from Diet Dr Pepper though.  It is my
 all-time favorite.

However, I would put it in the category of something I would like to have
one every now and then.  This is coming from someone who drinks close to a
 12-pack a day.

 Have a good day!
 zeez
