I've recently discovered that chocolate ice cream can provide
a tasty alternative to the usual vanilla, when combined with Dr Pepper.

For one thing, floats made with vanilla ice cream and Dr Pepper are
quite good, but those made with chocolate ice cream and Dr Pepper
are *surprisingly* tasty (beware of doing this with other sodas!).

And while the normal "Frosty Pepper" (Dublin Dr Pepper syrup*
and vanilla ice cream) is quite good, a Chocolate Frosty Pepper,
made with chocolate ice cream, is like one of those pricey
chocolate truffles, except that it's ice cream (IMHO).  Or
maybe it's just chocolate with an advanced degree :-).
