Re: Please Don't Flame Me... Cum lovers anonymous

Not meant as a flame, but as constructive criticism, if you are having
discipline troubles with young people that are so bad you feel the need for
vicarious corporal punishment fantasy, then perhaps you ought to spend some
extra time learning positive behavior modifications methods so that perhaps
the "little buggers" can become more like "little angels".  After all,
aren't they all merely trying to meet their own needs?  And isn't it the job
of adults to gently model for them ways to meet those needs without causing
others suffering?  I am, by no means, the high authority on these matters,
but it seems like time spend wishing you could hit children is time not wel
spent, while time spent finding ways to communicate better is time beter
spent.

I know a lovely little girl whose parents treat her like a little goddess,
mostly because she is, in most cases.  She is sweet, loving, affectionate,
generous , and a great care-giver to her younger siblings, very attentive to
their needs.  But when she is either denied something she truly wants, be it
material or experiential ("No, Yolanda, you cannot play with that child, she
is on time out." "Or, I'm sorry, Yolanda, it's time for us to go home.  You
can see your grandmother next week.") she can become quite contrary and
inconsolably cries or becomes otherwise uncooperative.  Because I am
childless, I have tried to be a kind of counselor for my friends who are
parents.  Using what I know from my years working with developmentally
disabled adults.  I try to remind my friends that when their child does not
behave how they would wish, it is not a matter of the child being "bad", it
is a matter of the child not knowing how to meet their need and remind them
that if they want their child to be a fully-functioning member of humanity
who can make her own choices and meet her own needs rather than merely an
obediant slave for a housepet,  they need to assme that everything she does
is designed to challenge them, as parents to find a way to deal with that
needs-meeting process.

If you just like seeing little butts getting swatted for the sake of pure
kinkiness, and the swatee is a willing participant (because there are so
many who like that), then just say that.  But otherwise, please consider my
advice.
