Forcing a child to do ANYTHING, can be damaging. But were all of them
forced? Your generalization is too ah, general.
Being naked, and our feelings about it, is a cultural thing. In most
cultures outside of America, being nude is no big deal, so pictures of
such a natural state aren't harmful to them.
But this goes much further. Do you know how many sexually exhibitionist
boys with webcams there are? There are thousands of them! They sure
aren't being forced to do that! In fact, they would get into trouble,
if their parents caught them at it, and they know it. Many hundreds of
webcam captures (videos) are posted in the newsgroups. The evidence is
of this is quite easy to see.
There is an interesting psychological study going on about this
situation. So far, the results are intriguing. Not all of these boys
are gay, and some of them are preteens! As young as seven, actually.
The more we learn about human sexuality, the more surprised we get.
There is SO much we don't know, that we are just discovering.

How many molesters have I helped to put in prison? Many.
How many abused children have I served as an advocate for, in court?
Dozens.
How many abused children have I helped, with psychological counseling?
Hundreds.
How many abusers have I personally caught in the act, and beat the crap
out of, and maimed them? Two. If course I'm ashamed that I resorted to
violence. Slightly.
You know, martial arts training can be useful, sometimes. :-)
