 In addition to the possibility of using a less-than-professional news
 server, you may be having problems with the encoding.
 
 Brad is using the newer x265 encoding instead of the older, more common
 x264.  Some viewing software, especially older versions that haven't
 been updated, can't 'understand' x265.
 
 My wife and I ran into this problem.  Because of the work I'm doing, I
 can't fully update my system and can't play x265 videos.  My wife keeps
 her system up to date and can play x265 videos on her system, without
 any difficulties.
