I am using both Binsearch for regular postings and NZBPlanet for
obfuscated posts. Normally, NZBPlanet appears to be working quite well for
obfuscated posts, but I couldn't DL TOS using it. I had to resort to
Binsearch. NZBs from NZBPlanet would not DL thru Grabit, but they worked
admirably from Binsearch using the same NZB app. I wonder what happened?
Frankly, I still don't think that obfuscating posts are the answer to DMCA
blocks. It's simply too cumbersome for most users who have no idea what
they are looking for without straightforward headers in the NGs. It's not
easy without knowing when a post is available. It's much easier seeing the
titles (or reasonable facsimiles) in the NG posts. The facsimile method
HAS been used back to the bulletin boards. I am comfortable using the
obfuscation method because I understand the reasons for it. I just don't
think it is the answer to the fundamental issue of killed posts. It takes
the fun out of using the NGs.
