We have reasons for the things we do. The decision to do a post in that
formerly active group had some logic behind it. Obviously you cannot
know what we are thinking, and we do not intend to explain or defend our
decisions. You either live with them, or you don't. It's entirely up to
you. There is material in that group, and if you want it, you know what
you need to do.
We have already stated we will complete the post over there and move on,
so there's no cause for alarm. It's not intended to be something
permanent, it's an experiment. We have conducted a number of
experiments; some worked out very well and some didn't. We learn things
in the process.
It is inevitable that spiderhacker will be spammed. The Post Description
spammer was already here once, and we find it quite amazing they haven't
returned. They will surely be back at some point, and when that happens
we will depart this group immediately, as we always do.
