Well,
Here's a mail I received from a SC gal....
Hi Paul,
Southern Charms is indeed going after all posters of their models
content being posted on Usenet, they did indeed win a case over
copyright infringement in the amount stated. They found out who was
doing the posting of the model's copyrighted material sued & won.
In addition Southern Charms has successfully shut down a couple of
sites while this suit was taking place.
Personally it's about time that they (Southern Charms) is stepping up
to the plate to identify these people & stop the theft. If you know of
anyone that is posting on Usenet you may tell them that this is no
hoax, SC finally got fed up.
Kisses,
Miss B.

Subject: RE: Someone posting your pictures on Usenet
Hi Butterfly,
There are now rumours on Usenet that SC have started to send out DMCA
warnings to posters of copyrighted material.
Some of those on Usenet seem to think it is a hoax!
I have pasted some examples below.
Can you confirm that that is the case?
Best wishes
Paul
To Whom It May Concern:
There seems to be considerable confusion concerning the removal of
Southern Charms content from UseNet. In order to circumvent the
perpetuation of what amounts to the blatant wholesale exploitation of
the material in question, Southern Charms provides this official
statement to enlighten you.
On May 7, 2012, Southern Charms was awarded in excess of 7.1 million
dollars in it's first copyright violation case - case # C2-10-566 by
The Honorable Edmund A. Sargus, Jr, United States District Judge.
The amount of the award was based directly upon the amount of Southern
Charms content. UseNet currently displays more Southern Charms
content than the offender in the lawsuit,
You so eloquently describe your actions as "advertisement" that you
seem to think Southern Charms should be in concert with, when in
reality you are directly responsible for adversely affecting every
model in every image you have ever uploaded to UseNet in addition to
breaking the law.
Be advised, as Hugh Elmwood stated, YOUR anonimity also ends with the
billing process. By law we can and will obtain your contact
information should any further abuse appear..
Having successfully prosecuted copyright infringement, we are now
seeking to have all Southern Charms content immediately
disabled/removed from UseNet and any other Internet venue per DMCA
law. For those who are not aware, from our official DMCA:
"We further request that the following Southern Charms
exclusively licensed material posted on UseNet be
removed. Since this practice has started, it has cost us
millions in sales. We will not allow this practice to continue. It
is our intent to permanently remove all Southern Charms
content from UseNet.
As you nor the participants of UseNet neither
asked for nor received permission to use Southern Charms images nor to
make or distribute copies, including electronic copies, of
same, you and they have willfully infringed upon our rights
under 17 U.S.C. Section 101 et seq. and could be liable for
statutory damages as high as $150,000 as set forth in
Section 504(c)(2) therein. All of the below listed images
are licensed exclusively to Southern Charms."
That is $150,000 PER VIOLATION...
Let me clarify- all of the images seen on Southern Charms are
copyright protected and licensed exclusively to Southern Charms.
Southern Charms and it's models will no longer tolerate the
unauthorized use of it's intellectual properties, and will prosecute
those who continue to infringe upon Southern Charms' copyrights..

for Southern Charms Owner, William Wesson
Dear Usenet posters and collectors,
As the copyright holder of my images, I have been reporting all of the
images from my site to be removed from Usenet. My images and videos
are only licensed to be posted on the internet by Southern-Charms.com.
Under federal copyright law sharing my images on Usenet or elsewhere
is subject to penalty, and I will no longer tolerate it. SC's recent
lawsuit on behalf of the copyright holders (the Charms) against
Jonathan Sheline is NOT a farce and is a matter of public record. SC's
attorneys are prepared to continue pursuing those who infringe upon
our copyrights and I, along with 797 other Charms, will stand behind
them.
For people who consider themselves fans, you don't realize the damage
you are doing and have done to our sites. It goes far beyond your own
little group. What you are doing is not seen as advertising or fan
loyalty and it is not welcomed. When a person Googles "Italian Lace
SC4" and finds more links to free content posted on Usenet than
legitimate links to my site where I am paid for my hard work, it IS
detrimental to my sales and I will no longer stand for it. No matter
how you manipulate or "massage" my images, I will always recognize
them and I will not stop until every one is removed from Usenet, even
if that includes filing a lawsuit against each individual poster.
If there is any doubt that this is not me, Italian Lace, posting this
message, feel free to email me at the address listed on my website and
I will confirm this statement. The Charms, the staff of
Southern-Charms.com and SC's attorneys are prepared to make the theft
of our intellectual property come to an end.
Sincerely,
Italian Lace SC4
