A capela vocal singing from South Africa's most famous music group.
Ladysmith Black Mambazo, South Africa's Grammy Award winning vocal group, releases their newest CD, "Always With Us." In 2000, Mambazo founder and leader, Joseph Shabalala, recorded several songs for his wife, Nellie Shabalala, church group. Sadly, Nellie passed away in 2002. Joseph and the members of Ladysmith Black Mambazo wanted to honor Nellie's life and music so they have taken her original songs and added their voices to the recordings to create ten hauntingly beautiful songs. The group is very pleased to be able to share this new CD with the world. WNYC-FM (New York) calls the CD "Wonderful." We think you'll agree.
