Jeff Scott Soto returns the load with a large disk powerful heavy undoubtedly one of the best voices circuit since 2012 with his "Damage Control" not editing anything alone. Until now talk about Jeff is synonymous with work and prestige, he has participated in major Axel Rudi Pell bands like, Talisman, Journey or Kuni, a phenomenon with great force and good company in 2015 with "Inside The Vertigo."
The date of release is January 30 coinciding with the birth of bassist Marcel Jacob, who was his close friend unfortunately disappeared. A tribute and a detail of Jeff the honor.
Possibly the most powerful album that published in his career as Soto, accompanied on guitar by Jorge Salan, did work not self gives respite to the listener. Other collaborating are Gus G (Firewind, Ozzy), Jason Bieler (Saigon Kick), Mike Orlando (Adrenaline Mob) or Joel Hoekstra (Nightranger, Whitesnake), who put their techniques and the good work in the project. Among the artists appearing as guests and co-writing the songs are Casey Grillo (Kamelot), Connor Engstrom, Tony Dickinson, Leo Mancini, Hugo Mariutti and Gary Schutt.
The album hits hard from the start "Final Say" with a large guitarrada of Salan and a beautiful choir, where the game Soto voices in different shades, taking the commands. Other topics that follow this powerful tonic are "The Fall" (which reminded me of Widowmaker Dee Snider with their second album, "Stand By For Pain") again sharp guitars and an industrial touch with fast and exciting solos, " Wrath "continues to put the meat on the grill, reminding Halford in Crucible, devilish riff and high pulse, but without forgetting the melody (with those wooh the final stretch before the second ring), Jeff sings luxury in all of them.
"End Of Days" is the crown jewel, a great song almost nine minutes epic and overwhelming, starting as a ballad, has a change of pace to 3:53 fulminant double bass drum and a huge, huge metal, and children's choirs, is an adventure walking ace turns in it, without doubt, one of the year's best and one of the best songs I heard from Soto.
The title track comes with threatening low and showing the following combination of quality, such as "Karma's Kiss". The ballad is great, "When I'm Older" where Jeff shines with a hundred suns and is that this man has a divine gift, both slow and powerful music.
"Trance" seems less round, despite its power and energy, I find it bland and less crafted than the rest. "Jealousy" improves the matter again with melody and good work in the six strings, keyboards again have a strong presence here.
The rapid and direct closure, with the "Fall To Pieces", which is my favorite theme on the album, killer chorus and tasty for the listener, is the style Gary Schutt.
Recommended SOTO return in more heavy land, will please all followers of the singer.
