His last album, 1998's sublime "It's Tomorrow Already," still meets my turntable on most Sunday mornings. With kudos like that, you might think, "Oh, well this will be a re-tread, then." But it's not. Morris tours and DJs constantly and has an encyclopedic, first-hand knowledge of chillout, downtempo, ambient, and every leftfoot subgenre ever to grace a specialist music shop. That really comes out in his productions; he clearly knows where the music has been, where it is right now, and he's able to bring that depth to Kira Kira.
