I thought I would add this scenario as it seems to produce the same
 error:

In particular, this happens every so often with RAR archieve
downloads.   Even though the post appears to be complete, I verify
with PAR2 if included. The result is usually always, "No Fix Needed".
In the last several months, I have had  a couple of downloads that
appeared to be complete, but quick par wanted to do a repair, which I
did do.  However, the repaired RAR archive would not extract -
reported " Bad CRC" and the download became useless.
In both cases, I re-downloaded the posts and did the extract without
the quick par.  In both cases, the extracted mp3 files played without
 any apparent errors.
