Clementine will do that. Pulldown Tools=>Transcode.
It will convert a directory of files in parallel.
This is pretty much the only way I have found to load
up my Athlon 4core, which raises the clock from
900MHz to 3.6GHz. It will therefore convert 16 files
in about the same time as it takes to convert one.
Choose from 9 output formats.
I use this shell variable: MAKEFLAGS=-j 4
to try to load make. Doesn't push the clock, though.
