alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.complete_cd is a good place as it gets lots of
traffic.
It is a dilema sometimes knowing which of the yearly groups to post to,
is it supposed to be by year the artist released the song, or the year
the album was released. Then there are albums with different tracks
spanning decades. IMO if style, or if something sounds about right for
a certain decade that will do.
All the popular groups that you post to seem to throw up the same
posters as well, so I think it does not matter too much which group you
use as most people will catch other peoples posts from somewhere. No
doubt there will be a few lurkers that will pop their head over the
wall and complain, but sod it they are getting something for free and I
am not about to sort their filing systems as well :-)
