If I am looking for a particular type of music, I would look in the
group that would be appropriate for the original recordings.
If when I looked, I find CDs of remastered music that would originally
have been on vinyl or shellac I would be just as happy as if I had
found the originals. Likewise if I found tribute acts rather than
originals, I would be happy.
The probability is that if these were posted in a group appropriate to
when a particular recording was issued, I would have missed them. So
I vote for the logical rather than pedantic groups, every time.
