If it wasn't for the plethora of "cover albums" you could remove a large percentage of CDs from the shelves.
"covers" have always existed... they, more than likely, always will.
Best example... do you think Glenn Miller was the only band to record In The Mood or Bing Crosby the only one to sing
White Xmas?
It's not meant that covers be "better"... it's just different styles and interpretations.
Time to wake up and look around :(
Funny thing is ... many times one of the covers (to something) is actually the better one. It may not be the one you
recall first hearing... but, if it's good music... then it's good music.
