Recorded dead center about 20 feet from the speaker stacks.
Excellent audience recording! Minimal crowd noise.
Note: I did turn the REC level down from 7.5 to 7.0 during Dust N' Bones, because the left channel started to overload.
Dizzy Reed's Hookers and Blow scehduled a show on Cinco De Mayo about 10 miles from my home at a family friendly restaurant with a small stage, by the name of Fat Daddy's.
Since the venue was so close to my home, I decided to catch Dizzy's tribute band. I was in store for an evening full of ridiculous GN'R covers by an auxiliary member of Guns N' Roses.
Dizzy's band consisted of members of GN'R's extended family, Todd Kerns of Slash's band, and Alex Grossi formerly of Steven Adler's Guns N' Roses cover band, Adler's Appetite.
Local drummer, Johnny Kelly was brought in the round out the quartet.
Dizzy's drunken attempt to emulate Axl's classic vocal delivery had me in stitches for the duration of the show.
Just listen to Dizzy slaughtering "Don't Cry"...
I am surprised that Dizzy's boss (Axl) allows him to butcher the Guns N' Roses classics with Hookers and Blow.
Dizzy's solo band must be a labor of love.
From what I have heard, Dizzy has earned a fortune on the never ending "Not In This Lifetime" tour.
Hookers and Blow aren't paying his bills....
The local Aerosmith tribute band "Walk This Way" opened the show and blew the Hookers away.
I'll share the "Walk This Way" set too!
