Junior Mance - The Junior Mance Touch (1973)
A soulful jazz album with a well-rehearsed trio kicking back with some finely honed grooves. What I particularily love about this album is that it raises no objections from anyone. It's so nice it gets under your skin. Nothing to shout about but just a very pleasant and well-meaning set of recordings by real players who care. I'll also always remember that when I bought the album in San Francisco back in the 90's, the guy at the counter, who you wouldn't normally get more than a nod from, said 'nice choice'. Enjoy!
