I don't understand what you are saying. FLAC is FLAC. The Redbook
standard is for physical CDs, which are the CD-DA format with a 16 bit
depth sampled at 44.1 kHz.
FLAC can contain audio that is mono, stereo, or surround and that has
a depth up to 32 bits and sampled up to 384 kHz. If you are trying to
play surround listening with headphones or stereo speakers, then
you'll need to downmix the surround to stereo. If you have a DAC that
can't handle the bit depth and sampling rate, then you'll need a
plug-in that resamples the music. foobar2000 has plug-ins that do
these things, but so do a lot of other players. My OPPO universal
player will do the same things through its USB port. foobar2000 has
no proprietary formats.
