Wagner  - Parsifal, An Orchestral Quest (Jarvi)  2448 - Poster's Note.txt
Source: Digital purchase

Label: Chandos

Date: Recorded 2009 in DSD

Processing: Metadata tweaks & additions

This is sort of HiDef. No resampling was done by me. Hi Definition audio releases vary a lot in sampling rate, from 44 to 44 to 88 to 96 to 176 to 192 to 376 KHz. There is no real standard. Generally DSD to PCM conversions are 88 or multiples thereof. I still prefer 44 KHz for music listening (that's what I have my sound card set at), but have read that the DSP modules of most mobile phones and tablets tends to resample everything (poorly) to 48KHz.

Also, sorry for the extremely minimalist "nfo" compared tot he poster's of yore. Most of the information you need if in the metadata and scans/booklet if present. I post just enough for people to know what it is. Perhaps if future I should add tracklistings and some fanciness. You're here for he music but, just like I am. Fidelity is more important.
