...not exactly, I was thinking about the older HDT set of the studio
albums released a few years back vs. this "Digital Remaster" release
My memory of the older HDT release is that it was sometimes called an
'HDCD remaster' -- HDCD refers to a not widely found variant in some CD
players and media that uses 20 bits [instead of the usual 16] for
allegedly additional wonderfulness, while still retaining standard
Redbook compatibilty -- so if that was the extent of the remastering
effort, it wasn't much
It was really the new remastering I was thinking about when asking for
comments, I just wasn't clear...
