This newest 2016 release from Ascendant, should please those who wish to venture beyond the Local Cluster. Clearly, some very deep ambient movements aided by light percussive, and vocal elements. This gives the synths a much-more added textural quality, and makes the mix eminently more listenable, in my opinion. The CD cover art depicts pyramid-image as the central locus for a universal 'source transmission'. This album has number of great cuts: the title cut, Source Transmission, Elliptical Memory, Fortran Drift, The Milky Seas, and the deep-spacer, Scorpio. Great music to drift along to. Perfect for fans of: Forrest Fang, Thom Brennan, Chronotope Project, Mark Dwane, Simon Wilkinson, and Dave Luxton. This would be a nice addition to any space-music library, or a dedicated playlist devoted to like artists. Recommended. - eTripper on February 20, 2017
