If you listen to both the SACD and the HDTracks you can clearly hear everything
as I described. Perhaps you didnt hear the SACD version to be able to compare?
You could have the worst converter and the worst headphones and would still be
able to hear everything as I described. I've been able to compare many SACD and
HDTracks and there are many instances where there are large differences, and
many where the HDTracks are modified from the original master tape. With this
particular release it is more than clear that there were significant changes
done to it by a recent mastering engineer, or it may simply be that they chose a
secondary master tape.
I am an engineer with 33 years experience. The DA is an RME UFX and HD650
headphones.
