My unique routine to re-create individual tracks from big lossless files
(FLAC, APE, WV, Shorten):
I'll first de-compress that file to WAV PCM, of course.
1.Now, in possession of both (wav & cue) files I'll load them up on Daemon
Tools 3.47 virtual drive and it will show up as a regular audio CD inside
Windows. Now I'll play all the tracks to make sure the gaps are ok.
2.I'll load the Virtual Drive (with the image still mounted)on EAC 0.99pb5
and Rip it (in secure mode) directly to FLAC -8 and saving the LOG when
the process is finished (for accuracy analysis).
I know there are easier to do it, but this approach generates perfect
files.
Also works with lossy formats after you de-compress them to WAV (be aware
that the final results will always be lossy too).
