Thank you very much for posting the Mr. Vampire Saga.
Unfortunately none of the conversion software I have, Freemake, DVD Flick, AVS, can use
the .sub subtitle format. I've tried just copying the. mkv files onto a dvd since the .mkv files themselves have some kind of subtitles in them, but my dvd player doesn't play them. I've tried converting them to dvd with the above software hoping that the subtitles that are already in the .mkv files will be usable, but they are not. I've looked for subtitles online for the first movie, but I see none in two-disc format. I downloaded and ran some freeware that is supposed to convert .sub to .srt, but that didn't work at all.
If you or anyone else has a simple solution, I could really use one. Watching on my pc is not an option. Rigging up cables from my pc to my tv is not an option. I need to convert these video files to dvd & add usable subtitles.
