I do like the slightly better quality, the mostly larger pic-count, and especially the Exif-Data, to know how old the model was at the photoshoot.. :)
In addition the pics are mostly more revealing..
For clarification ; EVERY set 'started' as a photoset with Exif and good quality (depending on the Cam/Settings used) and no logo..
A regular set was then simply 'copied' to the sales-server where customers could buy it. After purchase a script on the server removed
the Exif-Data, compressed it, added the logo, and zipped it.. And that is what the customer got 'automatically' for download..
No Sales-Person had to handle every single purchase, that was 'Live Order', at any time of the day.. Pay it, and get it within minutes.. ;-)
I case of real 'Customs Sets' the photoset, as it came from the Cam, was copied to a special (hidden) Folder on the Server, and the customer got
a Download-Link and Password for it via e-mail..
These 'Customs' were then 'blocked' for a time to give the customer the feeling he had something special.. After a few months these
sets were than handled like regular ones (see above).. Exceptions:
- Sets with higher Pic-Counts (150,200) were mostly reduced to about 100 pics.. (To save Bandwith ? ;-)
- Too revealing/risky pics for the public were 'censored' out.. Sometimes the whole set was never published to regualar..
- Blurring or uncommon Pics were sorted out.. (Sometimes it was vice versa, blurring pics were in regular, but sorted out in customs)
Regarding sets with 'no logo' BUT 'no exif' : Sometimes the Server failed to add the Logo, than the set 'came out' with the touch to be a
custom one.. :) But you can simply identify that by watching the Comment "CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0, etc) in the Image-Desription.
In addition, the Exif-Data is naturally completely missing and the Pic-Size is about 200KB instead of 400KB..
Some More Exceptions!! : Very often 'older sets', mostly from the m-models, but also some y-ones appered with all the above mentioned indications
to be a 'real Custom'. -> Reason: In the early 2000s Vladmodels sold a lot of sets on CD and sent them via postal-mail.. And as always
they didn't applied a lot of effort, so the Pics were sent 'untouched.. ;-)
Another 'special' Exception for younger sets : Some very experienced Customers were well connected to the Sales-Olga's, and after they purchased
a set online they asked for the uncompressed Version and got them via e-mail (I asked too)..
As for the sets actually sold by the successors vladmodels.tv, webmodels.tv and so on : Some of these sets seem to be 'real Customs' too because
of my above mentioned details.. But IMHO this is only a fake to sell some sets more expensive.. :-) Especially the customs with the 'adult'
models are far from likely.. I was one of the very few customers who paid 100 to 300$ for custom sets with adult models (depending on
pic-count, topless, etc..) but most of the guys wanted to have customs with the adolescents for that much money..
So, the 'new site' can label their pics like they want, they don't have the above mentioned pay-server-method..
To cut a long story short, you can never be 100% sure if you have a 'real Custom' or just one that looks likes it (unless you know the customer..)
I am always happy to have the 'better' version of a set! ;-)
