You already received help so you did not need mine.
The pw has been given or alluded to so many times I've lost track.
You are one of many to be subjected by many to the moron jokes for asking
for pws after so much. You said "yep" to loading all headers. Did you
mean you already tried that and found nothing or that you tried that only
after reading this? If there is only 2 days in this group or this group is
being censored, then I have been misled by Altopia and I apologize for
thinking you did not try that first. But if you only tried to get all
headers after my comment, then what does that say about you?
Calling anyone who asks questions "LE" is an old running joke that is
sometimes serious. You have to expect it. Maybe I'm LE :-)
Actually, I would not have done what you did for several reasons. There is
the adage, "Better to be silent and thought a fool than to speak and remove
all doubt." Also, asking for fills and passwords in public forums is
well-known to be self-incriminating. Jokes and aspersions are free.
I read 153 groups that have ever been on-topic dating all the way back to
pu and pu mag in pt although I can't say I was a "member" or was there as
long as they. (Every now and then there is a text post in groups that have
long gone to spam, like pt, ty.t and em. This is not a pissing contest.
There are many froups used for only a short time or are marginally
on-topic. It depends on your definition. I never let them go.) I have
not kept close track of nics and very few would have ever seen mine except
vaguely. And this too will become a vague memory. My best known post is
an index in vm which is an often reposted comprehensive and standard
reference from the very beginning. You could find it there now if you had
a decent news server. But yes, I knew Grumpy's nic and that Pancho was a
well-known poster of old. I made a pun into an absurdist joke about old
age making Grumpy out to be 91 and still "active"! I know what Atom means,
bc, a-g and chefy. I'll throw out another one that has reappeared lately:
Mummy. Yes, it is that Mummy of r.
In the interest of harmony however and even though no real harm was meant
by it, I apologize to you and to everyone else I have ever had this joke at
the expense of, whether or not you or they were offended. That is as
plenary and sincere an apology as anyone could give.
But it does not mean that I won't do it again to the next apparent clueless
newbie ;-))))
