I imagine that the folks who were privately trading totty sets and vids
on Worldplagiates (wp-board.com) are running pretty scared these days.
Apparently their excessive trading in the private forums pissed off at
least one webmaster, who decided to take legal action, and now owns all
of the relevant domain names, websites, server logs, records, files,
back-ups and other materials related to the WP forums.
While the site was still operating (then under his ownership unbeknownst
to the regular members), he proceeded to gather additional evidence
against the board members both from their forum activities and receipts
for t-shirt purchases pulled from the former domain owner's trash. [Why a
shredder hadn't been used as an additional security precaution, I just
don't know!]

Even worse, several highly active members have been identified by both
their full real names and their nics on the board!
It just goes to show that one is never 100% anonymous anywhere on the
web! [The elusive identity of the co-founding member identified as
"tomtom" is currently under intense investigation.]
All I can say is thank the stars for Usenet and the generous folks who
post here (and also for the fact of being too damn poor to gain access to
the private forums by purchasing a WP t-shirt).
