Yes, strange, isn't it. (Blush) No sooner did I post, than a flood of
JPGs arrive. Dunno what I could've been thinking. But, for sure, there
were no JPGs in my in-box from the period I started to take notice,
until the time I posted, which could've been a couple of weeks.

I'm with Altopia. Have been for about ten years and I'm very happy with
them. I don't think they're interfering in any way.

He he I have a huge number of filters but they are only set to kill
moronic trolls, advertising and obvious subject lines that you probably
filter, too. Nothing in there that could kill JPGs and, in fact, as i
say, there is a large number now in this group.

I used MT Newswatcher and YA Newswatcher for a short while when i first
took an interest in usenet in 1995 but I found Thoth and switched.
Been very happy with it since and, despite the fact the author Brian
Clark is a temperamental queen who frequently throws hissy fits, I can
recommend it to you.
We (Thoth fans) wait with bated breath to see if Snow Leopard will
break Thoth. Clark refuses (so far) to write version 2 because of low
sales. Chicken, egg.
Despite the fact usenet is one of the major elements of the "big
picture" internet, there is, surprisingly, no client that can be
described as full-featured, stable, professional. I'd pay a fair price
for such a thing with a nice, modern interface but, until it comes
along, Thoth is ok.

Several people posted recently to enthusiastically praise the Jessi
posts. But I searched as far back as January and found nothing. It was
a password-protected RAR and there were even arguments between people
wanting the password and those replying.
I like to stay abreast (hmmm unintended pun) of affairs involving
quality material so I really hoped that someone would repost Jessi but
no luck. Sob.

No problems.
SBZ, thanks for replying. I'll just crawl back in my cave now, dream of
a mysterious honey called Jessi and sulk.
