You don't say what distro you're using but many include gui joiners.
Check your app installer for a package.
If you use an .rpm based distro you might find a workable rpm at

HJSplitLX is available for Linux Google it. Put the precompiled
HJSplitLX in /usr/local/bin , you will need to be root to do this.
You will need the Kylix libs to run it. It's available at the site.
Extract the .gz file. Enter the folder created when you extracted it
and check the Install.sh file properties and make sure it's marked as
executable. Open a terminal window in that directory and as root type
./install.sh then hit enter. This will install the libraries to
/usr/lib/kylix3 . Create a desktop link to the HJSplitLX file in
/usr/local/bin to run it.
