Your posts aren't corrupt, they just come thru (for me) fragmentted
into single parts. I'm using Forte Agent v1.93. Over the years when
anyone posts a multi-part msg and uses (*/93) for example, in the
Subject line (for 93 items in a post) Agent 1.9x sees it as a single
item post with 93 parts.
Your posts were fine with the older Agent progs until you started
using (*/nn) in the subject line.
I "upgraded" Agent, to a newer version and I didn't like how it
handled multiple news servers, so I rolled back to v1.93.
Over the past few years I have never been able to D/L these msgs
unless I manually re-assembled the parts. :-(
I have always looked forward to your posts. Please go back to using (1
of 93) or (1/93) instead of (*/93).
Abner does the same thing. I have never been able to get his posts for
the same reasons.
It appears that Cortical Systematics is an "old timer" like me. I have
been lurking for many years, and have been using Agent v1.93 since
it's release, and Free Agent for a long time b4 that.
What do you think of Altbinaries.com as a Usenet provider? I think
they are pretty good, retention and completion wise. My only issue
with them is they don't carry Y&B ... :-(
Thx for your posts over the years and I'd appreciate a reply. :-)
(BTW, maybe a crack for a more recent Agent would be a good idea)
Thx,
