If so when they fail, you have little to no chance of recovery. On the upside they are extremely fast. Pretty much like memory on the right system. If they have somehow improved the durability I will most likely migrate that way.

Not to get too technical-simply- SSD's over time slow down, that's
when you know they must be replaced. Average lifespan is currewntly 10
years (normal use). SSD's also read faster than they write data which
is the primary reason for their speed. I store nothing on the SSD;s
but the OS (over time gets bigger but Win 10 should never exceed
200GB) and mirror that SSD with a duplicate SSD. I also have a
computer running XP and find that Win 10 on the SSD's and XP on a
2.8GHZ intel is not appreciably different in terms of "boot up" speed.
RAM and VRam is where usable speed is gained and costs are very
reasonable, at least compared to 5 years ago.
