Shouldn't be that as you've been using rar archives (so it's the
archive file which is being posted).

There is always the risk of transmission glitches when posting on
usenet which is why it's expedient to include some recovery files
if possible (par2 approach), especially when posting large single
files.

However, I realise that par2 might not be available on some
platforms, so a suggestion not a criticism!
