German troops advance towards the town of Manoylin in late July. Five
German divisions had attacked the right wing of the Red Army 62nd Army
north of Manoylin, whilst other German formations fought the Russian
64th Army north on the mla River. Fighting had gone considerably well
for the Germans, despite heavy losses and well defended enemy
positions.
